Mandeshi Radio broadcast CLP(community learning program).

In the period 2010-11 mandeshi tarang vahini, Mhaswad and CEMCA had broadcast CLP (community learning program) under the guidance of Shrimanti Rukmini Vemraju.

 As Mandeshi tarang vahini had planned this program for local community, the participation of the people's  and especially women's in the community was expected.

 Keeping this perspective in the mind, CEMCA organized a 3-day special training course for 28 Mandeshi women from Gondwale Budruk. The motto behind this CLP radio program was to educate women listeners in the area and to solve problems related to the Mandeshi community and women's in the area.


The challenges before the makers was program should not be a monotonous. Also it should be in magazine format.  The program should involve experts from respective area's as well varied people in the community.
The CLP should shed light on the problems and issues in the community. Guidance should be given on dietary awareness, information on various diseases, symptoms, preventive measures, cleanliness and importance of exercise.

Mrs. Rukmini Vemraju, Shri.  Sanjay Chandekar (FTII Pune) and Shri.  Yuvraj Jadhav (Vasundhara, Baramati) guided 28 mandeshi women's as an expert. Also had discussion with the members of the medical association in Mhaswad to create a CLP program.
Based on the suggestions by CEMCA and Mrs Rukmini Vemraju, 40 CLPs planned for initial level.For this Mrs. Nirmala Gonzari, Mrs.  Dorge and Mrs. Vanmala Latne was given special training for CLP program  at Vasundhara Vahini, Baramati.

This program was well supported by the members of the medical association Mhaswad, 
 Primary Health Center Mhaswad, Rural Hospital Dahiwadi. Along with it, this program was also hailed by District health departments.

After first successful effort, Mandeshi Tarang Vahini was given the opportunity to produce 30 more CLP radio programs on behalf of CEMCA. This next phase programs was supported by Mrs. Hasumati Chheda, and Dr.  Dhiraj Chheda from Mumbai.

 The CLP program was renamed as 'Radio doctor' and aired through mandeshi radio channel anx also rebroadcast on next day. It was well received by mandeshi community.

 Through this initiative, Mandeshi Tarang Vahini received the following broadcast benefits-
 1. CLP radio program production guidance.
 2. Production of audio radio program.
 3. Health awareness programs for Mandeshi community.
 4. Doctors from Mandeshi community were connected with Mandeshi radio channel.
 5. Mandeshi Tarang Vahini had received an  experience in CLP program creation, training, feedback collection.
 6. The audience grew.
 7. Mandeshi Tarang Vahini received financial assistance.
 8. The team of Mandeshi Tarang Vahini had got great and rare exposure.
